What Gate Exam?
What Gate Exam? GATE Exam is a Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering that is conducted by IISC Banglore with 7 Top IITs like IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Roorkee, IIT Madras, IIT Guwahati.
GATE Exam is conducted to get admission in Master Program in IITs, NITs, Central and State Universities.
GATE Exam is also applicable to get a job in Reputed PSUs like BHEL, BPCL, NCL, NPCIL, DRDO, ISRO, NTPC, ONGC. It is beneficial for B.E/B.Tech students to qualify GATE Exam.
GATE EXAM 2021:Â
GATE Exam 2021 is held between 5 Feb-14 Feb. This Year GATE Exam is conducted by IIT Bombay for 27 subjects. The answer key of the exam will be released in the Fourth Week of February. The result will declare on 22 March.

What Gate Exam Pattern? Gate Exam is conducted once a year. It is held for 3 hours. GATE Exam is conducted for 27 Subjects. This Exam consists of 65 questions that are for 100 marks.

Subject Pattern:
In the GATE Exam, 65 questions are asked where 55 questions are asked from the specialized subject and 10 questions are asked from general aptitude.
General Aptitude:
- 10 Questions related to General Reasoning, English, and Aptitude
- 5 questions are for 1 Marks
- 5 questions are for 2 Marks
Specialized Subjects:

How to Start Preparation for GATE Exam?:
If you are a final year student or want to start your GATE Exam preparation you must know some methods to start.
Here are some points that help you to start. These methods are helpful for what GATE Exam requires.
1.Know About Syllabus:Â
You must know the syllabus of your branch that will help you to analyze which subjects are important. There are only specific subjects are asked in GATE Exam. So you need to analyze subjects that come in GATE Exam.
2.Analyze Previous Year Papers:
You can’t crack any exam without knowing its pattern. Previous year papers help you to analyze the exam pattern. Every Topper recommended this method to crack GATE Exam.
Though there is no repetition of questions yet you will get an idea of which type of questions asked in the exam.
3. Start With Fundamentals
GATE Exam is a conceptual-based exam. You should have a deep understanding of subjects otherwise you won’t be able to solve any questions. Students should more focus on understanding the fundamentals of subjects rather than memorizing.
Students should study from standard books so that they get a clear understanding of the subject. Once you get depth knowledge of the concept then you will able to solve any questions.
4. Make Short Notes:

5. Time Management:
Students should make a proper time slot to study. If you don’t make a proper time slot you will prepare nothing. Students must allot specific time for each subject.
Time management is what GATE Exam needs without time management no one can crack the GATE Exam.
Make a list of subjects and allot a specific time to finish that subject. Like you can allot 10 days for the easy subject or 20-30 days for the tough subject. This will help you to finish your syllabus.
6. Make a Definite Goal:
This is true Goal without Dream is a myth. If you don’t know where to go then you will be roaming here and there. First, you must make a goal that how many marks you want to achieve.
You might think this is absurd, but it really works. If you set your goal that you want to score 70 marks your mind will work accordingly.
Your mind will make you work as much as required to get 70 marks. Therefore it is mandatory to set a definite goal.
7. Attempt Test Series:

Students always make the mistake of not giving Test Series. They always think I haven’t prepared much how can I give test series? and this never happens and they skip test series. Test series is the best method to crack GATE Exam.

Even if you get 0 marks then also don’t stop. Try to improve yourself and in the next test series try to get good marks.

8. Believe in Yourself:
The most important thing if you have the desire to crack the GATE Exam on 1st attempt. Yes, it is possible for you. You can crack GATE Exam on 1st attempt.
